Sandhills Trolley Company – Frequently Asked Questions

We’re so excited to welcome you aboard one of our signature trolley experiences! To make sure everyone has a safe, fun, and memorable time, here are a few important things to know before your cruise.

🎟 Tickets & Cancellations

  • All ticket purchases are non-refundable.

  • Cancellations made within 72 hours of departure are not eligible for exchange.

  • Because our cruises have limited seating, we’re unable to fill last-minute openings.

  • Third-party ticket sales are not authorized.

We truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Children & Family Safety

  • Children 12 and under must sit in the center aisle next to a parent or legal guardian (18+), with the adult seated closest to the open-air window.

  • Our trolleys do not have child safety seats.

  • We recommend that children 2 and under not ride. If they do, they must remain securely seated on a guardian’s lap for the entire cruise.

  • All children over the age of 2 require a ticket.

🍷 Alcohol Policy

  • Beer and wine are permitted.

  • No liquor or glass containers are allowed.

  • Some cruises are 21+ only. A valid ID is required and will be checked before boarding.

  • Guests without valid ID will not be permitted to board and will not receive a refund.

Please drink responsibly — we want everyone to have fun and get home safely. If needed, our team is happy to help arrange a ride.

🚎 Onboard Safety & Conduct

  • Please remain seated while the trolley is in motion.

  • Keep hands, feet, bags, and belongings out of the center aisle.

  • Do not hang any body parts or throw objects out of the open-air windows.

  • Some cruises may use the center aisle for games or performances.

We ask all guests to treat fellow riders and the STC team with respect. Anyone who becomes unruly, belligerent, or unsafe may be asked to exit the trolley at the next stop and will be responsible for their own transportation.

🧼 Damage, Messes & Personal Belongings

  • You break it, you buy it. Guests are responsible for damage or excessive messes that require cleaning or repair.

  • Sandhills Trolley Company is not responsible for lost or stolen personal items.

🌧 Weather Policy

In the event of dangerous weather (including icy roads, significant snow, tornadoes, or hurricanes), an STC team member will contact you by phone or email to discuss rescheduling or refunds. 

🎉 Charters & Rentals

  • Chartered events require a minimum 2-hour rental.

📸 Photos & Marketing

Our team may take photos or videos during the cruise for marketing purposes. If you prefer not to be included, please let your host know at the start of your ride.
